Community Impact

Service to our community is at the heart of our mission. Through ongoing programs and hands-on initiatives, we support local individuals and families in meaningful ways. These efforts are made possible through the generosity of our members, whose donations and personal contributions allow us to make a lasting impact.

Holiday Giving

Each year, we partner with local women’s shelters to identify individuals and families in need throughout Windsor and Sonoma County. Once those needs are identified, our club provides holiday gifts to help ease financial stress and bring a sense of joy during the season. These gifts are funded through our club’s resources and reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting our community.

In addition, for several years we have provided complete Thanksgiving meals—turkey and all the traditional fixings—for mothers and children residing at Harold’s House. This transitional home supports women rebuilding their lives after leaving abusive relationships. Our members personally contribute to make these meals possible, coming together in the spirit of generosity and care.

We have also extend our impact by providing annual financial support to local programs and initiatives. These include the “Worth Our Weight” culinary program, which empowers at-risk teens with valuable life and job skills, and the Sonoma County Human Trafficking Task Force, where several of our members are actively involved in advocacy and prevention efforts.

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

Just for fun each year Soroptimist International Windsor sponsors a “Charlie Brown Christmas Tree” on the Windsor Green. This is a great time for us to get together to begin to celebrate the holidays.
